One of the most photographed spots on Nantucket, this functioning lighthouse has been welcoming ferries into the harbor since 1746. Although small in stature (only 26ft), it's operations are quite hefty. The perfect backdrop for weddings and events on Nantucket, Brant Point is located on the south side of the entrance to Nantucket Harbor. Tour this historic lighthouse and let the spirit of Nantucket shine through.

Just a two-minute walk from White Elephant, Children's Beach is a summer paradise for kids.  Located at the end of Harbor View Way, the beach features family-friendly activities with gentle waters, a lawn to run and play, a fun playground, and picnic facilities at the north side of Steamboat Wharf. The town offers various events throughout July and August, like live music, puppet shows, and arts and crafts for the kids to enjoy. Swim, lounge, and enjoy the sunshine while the children are entertained.

One of the island's most popular attractions, this museum is steeped in history, telling tales of the island's maritime past. Home to an 1847 spermaceti (whale oil) candle factory, view a vast display of paintings, whaling tools, scrimshaw, and artifacts from Nantucket's 19th-century days as the whaling center of the world. Tour the museum, watch a documentary and head to the rooftop for unparalleled harbor views.

Dedicated to the preservation of the life and legacy of the 19th-century American woman scientist and educator, the Maria Mitchell Association is home to an aquarium filled with local Nantucket species and marine life from crabs and shellfish to fish and eels. Peer into outer space at the Vestal Street Observatory and bring the kids to explore animals and science at the Natural Science Museum.

The Cisco Brewery is the only outdoor commercial brewery in the US pouring an array of tasty beers, ranging from the Whale's Tale Pale Ale to Captain Swain's Extra Stout. The adjacent Triple Eight Distillery makes five different vodka varieties, as well as whiskey, rum, and the well-named Gale Force Gin.

As Nantucket's oldest and largest family-owned farm, Bartlett's offers locally grown vegetables, flowers, plants, and produce. Established in the 1800s, this full-scale market is just a quick walk from the shoreline and features a takeout restaurant serving fresh seasonal cuisine with a rotating menu of hot sandwiches, homemade soups, and salads. Dine at the picnic tables surrounded by colorful flowers and landscaping.
